ADA / Handicap Accessible Unit Rental

An ADA unit is the right call when your event or site needs to serve someone using a wheelchair, walker, or mobility scooter. Standard portable restrooms have a raised step and a narrow door; the ADA model sits flush with the ground and gives a person enough interior space to turn a chair around. If you are hosting at Bogert Park or renting the Gallatin County Fairgrounds, accessibility is usually part of the permit or the venue's expectation — one ADA unit on site covers that.

ADA units are wider and heavier than a standard restroom, so placement matters more. We need a firm, level spot with a clear path from the parked delivery truck — a paved lot, a compacted gravel pad, or level turf. Soft ground in the Valley West and Baxter Meadows build-outs during spring melt can pull a heavy unit off level, so we'll walk the placement with you. For weddings near Story Mansion or gatherings in the Cooper Park Historic District, we set the unit where the accessible path already runs, not off in a corner nobody can reach.

How many ADA units you need depends on the crowd. Event guidance generally calls for at least one accessible unit per bank of standard restrooms, and one ADA unit is often enough for a small backyard event in Sundance Springs or a residential job in The Knolls. Larger draws — a full-day event at East Gallatin Recreation Area or a big MSU-area function — usually warrant more than one. Winter changes the math too: Bridger Canyon access and unplowed lots can slow delivery, so book your ADA unit early when snow is in the forecast and tell us about the road conditions up front.
